Weather & Air Quality

City forecasts, air quality and official weather warnings in one place.

China spans tropical Hainan to subarctic Harbin, so 'what is the weather like in China' has no single answer — and the answer decides what you pack, whether you need pollution masks, and which activities make sense. This tool puts city forecasts, air quality readings, and official weather warnings in one view: choose your destination to see temperature and conditions, check the AQI before planning outdoor days, and watch for official warnings during typhoon season (roughly June to October in the south) or northern winter cold snaps. Air quality deserves special attention if you have asthma or are sensitive: on high-AQI days, move sightseeing indoors and wear a proper mask outside. Check twice — once when packing, once the night before each travel day — because mountain cities like Zhangjiajie and desert-edge Dunhuang swing much further within a day than the headline forecast suggests.
